New Order - CDQ (Cokes Dry Quenching) 2 sets from DSC in Taiwan

Nippon Steel Engineering Co., Ltd. (Representative Director and President: Mr. Makoto Takahashi) Plant & Machinery Division (Director: Masaaki SAWA) received an order for 2 sets of 140t/h capacity CDQ (Coke Dry Quenching) from Dragon Steel Corporation, a member of China Steel Corporation Group.

Dragon Steel Corporation plans to complete construction of second Blast Furnace by 2013 and increase their crude steel production capacity up to 5 million ton by 2013.
These 2 set of CDQ will be installed to new coke ovens built in accordance with this expansion plan.

Through competition among Japanese and Chinese suppliers, the order was placed due to our high reliability of CDQ technology supported by abundant supply record.
The order also marks our 91th and 92th order for CDQ equipment, an area in which our group has devoted considerable energy toward both domestic and international expansion. We will continue to develop sales to further bolster our position as a top CDQ supplier, and also promote the sale of environmental and energy-saving equipment to help reduce CO2 emissions.

We, Nippon Steel Engineering Co., Ltd. have long relationship with the CSC group and we will continue to keep this relationship. Moreover, we will contribute also to development of the iron and steel industry and to help reduce CO2 emissions in the CSC group and Taiwan greatly in the future.
