Natural Gas Liquefaction Base

By liquefying natural gas to make it easier to transport, NIPPON STEEL ENGINEERING CO., LTD.'s natural gas liquefaction bases enable supply to remoted areas with small-scale demand.

LNG Receiving Facility

LNG receiving facility is a plant to unload LNG from large-scale LNG tankers berthed at the pier. As this complicate plant adopts “unit construction method,” in which LNG receiving piping or boil-off gas (BOG) piping is shop fabricated and incorporated into the iron frame before delivery, it receives and installs the incorporated unit on site easily and smoothly. The LNG receiving facility makes remarkable contributions to shorter construction time and cost reduction.

LNG Satellite Base

Tanklorries transport LNG in its liquefied form to deliver LNG from terminals to remote regions where supply via pipeline is economically unviable. These satellite bases receive LNG from trucks and send out vaporized gas.

Low-temperature Tanks

NIPPON STEEL ENGINEERING CO., LTD. fabricates all types of low-temperature tanks used to store LNG, LPG, and other low-temperature liquefied gases. We play a significant role in national stockpile projects for ensuring adequate reserves of LNG and other energy sources through our comprehensive design and construction engineering capabilities, which encompass high-quality steel materials, welding technologies, and tank systems.

Decompression Systems

NIPPON STEEL ENGINEERING CO., LTD. is helping to build an efficient supply network for natural gas through a large number of facilities that perform tasks such as adjustment of the pressure of high-pressure pipelines for medium- and low-pressure pipeline networks, adjustment of temperature, and odorization of gas.

LPG Receiving Terminals

NIPPON STEEL ENGINEERING CO., LTD. has an extensive domestic history in LPG import terminals and shared stock terminals, including low-temperature tanks and large tanker sea berths using jacket structures.

LNG Receiving Terminal

In addition to having an impressive track record in the construction of LNG receiving terminals, NIPPON STEEL ENGINEERING CO., LTD. has promoted pioneering initiatives such as the establishment of Japan's first LNG transport model using coastal tankers.

Coastal LNG Tanker Loading Facility

In the facility capable of loading in just six hours from arrival to departure, LNG can be shipped using coastal LNG tankers with the 1,000-ton class. This is an economical method of transporting LNG around Japan.

Hydrogen Refueling Stations (HRS)

HRSs are indispensable to the spread of FCVs (fuel cell vehicles). NIPPON STEEL PIPELINE & ENGINEERING CO., LTD. has developed advanced technologies to safely supply high-pressure hydrogen to FCVs.
